Koungsheen Chocolate Packaging Design

One thing which is loved to indulge by all age group without any guilt is chocolates. DesignerPeople was excited when an international company of chocolates from Netherland gave us an opportunity to represent our deep rooted passion for chocolate packaging.

They wanted their packaging to look like a celebration so that packaging itself can speak to its target audience. The vision of founder Itrath was to design a sub-brand “Atoms” with sophistication that resonated with the primary brand values of the Koungsheen chocolates.

Challenge

Creative designing of a cosmopolitan brand which is acceptable to diverse audience that connects with luxury clientele.

Establish an experience to pack denoted the delicious flavours while maintaining a visual harmony.

Create excitement amongst various cohorts from the target audiences to create their chocolate with its unique flavour & brand name.

To depict value proposition of brand along with the transparent window at the front of packaging this led to less space to express creativity.

To design chocolate wrapper, and other stationaries to make it analogous to the existing tone of the brand.

Solution

The company has a very strong philosophy with respect to using the best quality ingredients across their spreads. To establish this strongly, we created photorealistic illustrations of the main ingredients of the spreads in order to represent the distinctive flavour of each product.

We crafted a splash of chocolate on packaging which is a blast of happiness. Wrapped inside it, the prime ingredients along with the actual product were displayed. Each flavour portrayed its own unique elements, maintaining that splash constant.

Curve at edges of transparent windows is reflection of “smile” which is very eye soothing.

DesignerPeople leveraged the power of brand design to advance, inspire and connect the purpose of generosity amongst diverse set of consumers.

New bold logo of “Atoms” placed at top of packaging for primary visual, to enhance brand recall while placing parent brand logo Koungsheen in such that it is not over powering the new brand.
